CEO role created at SMBiT Professionals
The Small-Medium Business Information Technology Professionals (SMBiT Professionals) Association has created its first Chief Executive role and named David Vidos to the position.
The CEO position has been created in response to the associations need to create a professional governing role to drive membership and partner value in building a successful SMB IT association. Since his appointment, Vidos has already commenced the engagement process with key member and partner drives underway and head to head meetings with the wider IT industry.
With a unique mix of small and big business experience, David was the ideal candidate to lead SMBiT Professionals into the future. He has a combination of 26 years’ industry experience and several years with building member associations in supporting roles including SBITPA (Small Business IT Professionals Association) and various positions at SMBiT Professionals – Vendor Relations, Vice President of the Melbourne Chapter followed by President for 3 years.
His vision is to create a professional association of members that businesses can confidently engage to provide the best advice for their business information systems. In doing so, build a community of IT Professionals, educate them about industry best practice, latest technologies and products and provide interaction and learning opportunities.
Through effective and efficient investment in information technology, Vidos is passionate about resolving the challenges that help level the playing field between small business and their larger counterparts. Combining a mix of professional leadership and business strategy, David is the successful founder of NOVA iT Group with a team of 8 and growing, he demonstrates a team based, hands on approach.
In addition, he has previously held roles as Technical Services Manager for OCG Systems a start-up cloud integration partner, Product Specialist and Trainer for Colorbus the world’s 2nd largest RIP (Raster Image Processing) provider working with clients such as The Age, The Times, Canon, and Xerox, as well as Lead support engineer for HiQuest Computer Solutions a Small IT solutions reseller.
