We\u2019re the only peak body for IT service providers who specialise in small and medium business. We represent over 350 business owners and professionals.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Our members range from sole operators to <\/span><\/span>100+ employee<\/span><\/span> operations, from the brand new to those with decades in business<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Before there was <\/span>SMBiT<\/span> Professionals, there was the SBS User\u2019s Groups, based in a number of States around Australia.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As this group grew more active, it became clear there was a need for something more structured. In 2011, <\/span>SMBiT<\/span> Professionals was founded as a not-for-profit Association, run by and for members.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The once casual get-togethers are now monthly chapter meetings, with workshops, professional development sessions and vendor presentations. There\u2019s still plenty of time to mingle and chat.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The highlight event of our year is our national conference, held in rotating locations annually.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In between these events, the <\/span>SMBiT<\/span> Professionals Community Hub is where we network online.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This is where to find the knowledge and the contacts to level up and grow.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Just about anyone can register an ABN and call themselves IT support. Being a member of <\/span>SMBiT<\/span> Professionals takes a bit more.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n At the heart of this is our Code of Conduct. This sets a wide set of standards of diligence, honesty, transparency and fair dealing.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n All <\/span><\/span>our<\/span><\/span> members agree to this. If we find them in breach, they have to leave.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This sets our members apart.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n We of course understand emerging trends<\/span><\/span> in small business technology. We also realise IT professionals tend to be strong here already.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Success isn\u2019t just about being good with computers.
